St. Helena Olive Oil Co.
Epstein Estate
Harvested from Manzanillo and Mission olives grown in the western hills of Napa, this olive oil is sensational. The early harvest and production of this olive oil makes it fruity, with a nice peppery finish.
Hornberger
This olives grown at the Hornberger Estate on West Zinfandel Lane are blended together to produce a mere 15 gallons of great tasting oil each year. The oil, produced from mission and manzanillo olives, is harvested and pressed by the St. Helena Olive Oil Company. The oil gives off a light, fruity taste with hints of green herbs and a slight peppery finish. This would make a great salad oil or a nice finishing oil for mild vegetables like fava beans or spring peas or for a light fish like halibut or mahi.
Pedregal Estate
The Pedregal Estate is located in the Eastern Hills of Oakville, Napa Valley. The Mendelson’s trees are a mix of older Spanish varietals that were originally brought over by the missionaries and Italian varietals that were planted to border the Pedregal vineyards. Because the olives are harvested early, the estate always produces a big green fruity oil with notes of lush tropical fruit. This oil has good pungency and ends with a slight peppery finish. The mixture of varietals and ages of the trees combine to produce an unique extra virgin olive oil. The St. Helena Olive Oil Company always has a small harvest and it usually sells out with the first email announcing it’s release.
Stagecoach Estate
This lovely oil is created from olives harvested in mid-November from the eastern hills of the Napa Valley. Its’ soft and floral flavor is well balanced with a hint of pepper on the finish. This small production estate oil, made with 100% Arbequina oilves, produces a mere 25 cases a year
